It's been an interesting week, one of which had events I didn't expect to affect me as much as they did. I'd like to say something that occurred was surprising, but quite frankly, it wasn't. It's concerning how far things have gone and how some seem to feel indifferent to or even support them. We'll see what will happen, 11 days can't pass soon enough... besides that, time ticks on. A bit too fast in my opinion, but it is what it is. I know this drawing isn't my usual style, but something about drawing like this feels mindless for me, it lets me zone out and disconnect.
Day 7 of inktober2020 and the prompt is Fancy (referring to his hat). I like this pen and ink approach better than most of my earlier inktober drawings. I prefer the teeny tiny scratchings to marker.

This was inspired by one of @JunkyardSam's drawings. I loved his linked islands and wanted to do my version. Thankyou Junkyard Sam for your inspiration. It is good fun to try on someone else’s outlook.
This is the full spread in my moleskine of Return of the Polar Bear. It is after Pieter Bruegel the Elder, an artist from the 16th century, with my own changes.
I found a Gap ad in a 90s Vanity Fair magazine; the background was completely white, perfect for doodling a background on it. I also highlighted the woman's freckles and lips with a bronze Sharpie.
